19th century French cider jug featuring a beautifully tapered barrel-form silhouette constructed from wood staves with hand-applied brass banding and a forged brass handle. Originally used for serving or storing cider, this primitive vessel has a wonderfully sculptural presence and rich aged patina that works beautifully in rustic European, English country, or collected interiors.

Condition:

Signs of age and use throughout including surface wear, oxidation to brass, scratches, separations to wood staves, and overall patina consistent with age. Sold as decorative antique object.
